Out with Vanley Burke

We were out and about with the photographer Vanley Burke, who has been documenting black history for the last 40 years. He has a wide range of projects on the go at the moment. One such project is documenting the places where murder or tragic accidents have taken place. His aim is to show the aftermath not just with the physical grief but the way in which life carries on in the geographical situations they have taken place. These photographs show him taking pictures of a shrine dedicated to a young man that sadly was involved in a fatal road accident. Obviously from the amount of flowers, pictures and messages he is very much missed.
